Internet of Things (IoT), is the collection of data from sensors and microcontrollers, and the delivery to the cloud via Wi Fi/GSM/LTE modules using MQTT or the HTTP protocol. After the data is analyzed and stored in cloud, it’s sent to a web browser or mobile app for viewing.
This blog will help you get started if you’re a beginner in IoT.
Amazon Web Services (AWS), a new service, introduced 1-Click Internet of Things (IoT). It is used in a wide variety of applications including vehicle monitoring, manufacturing and energy supply, urban issues, water distribution, food production and medical, as well as agriculture.
Before we get into the details of AWS IoT 1 Click, let’s first understand the three stages IoT in a more conventional way.
Three stages are used to define the prerequisites for IoT:
The hardware side is made up of different sensors that are connected to the microcontroller.
The cloud for data storage and analysis
The use of an online or mobile application for user viewing.
It can be time-consuming to build these three stages of IoT for a startup or small business. AWS offers a simple solution, the AWS IoT 1-Click service. This includes all three of the processes mentioned above. We will be looking at the AWS IoT 1 Click service and how it can be used.
AWS IoT 1 Click
AWS IoT 1 Click is a service that allows basic devices trigger AWS Lambda functions. These functions may then perform an action, send an SMS, or send an email. AWS IoT 1Click devices make it easy to perform tasks such as informing technical support and restocking products and services, tracking assets, customer order medicine, emergency alerts, and customer reorders. AWS IoT 1Click-enabled devices can be used right out of the box without the need to configure or write code.
AWS IoT 1-Click devices connect to the cloud securely using pre-configured devices. Manufacturing partners are the Seeed IoT Button for AWS, Sercomm IoT Button and Soracom LTE–M button, AWS IoT Button and AT&T IoT Button. Devices are internet-connected devices that can connect via Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi and Sigfox.
AWS IoT 1-Click support devices can be easily managed. You can create device groups and associate them with a Lambda function which, when activated performs the desired action. You can also use the pre-built reports for device activity and health monitoring. AWS also offers the Mobile Application for monitoring 1-click devices.
Clicking the AWS IoT button will allow us to send SMS and EMAIL. It will also trigger the Lambda service to perform the other set actions using the AWS IoT 1Click service. The AWS IoT button has three types of button states: single, double, and long presses. Next, we’ll examine how these different click states are used in real-life.

Consider a patient who calls an ambulance or a nurse to get help in an emergency. We’ll look at how AWS Internet of Things 1-Click can help.
One click to reorder the same medicine
AWS IoT Button clicks only once by a patient. 1-click data is sent directly to the AWS Cloud. Lambda recognizes the click type, and it is recognized as a single click. SNS triggers the “order the same medicine” message. This is sent to the hospital where the medication are delivered.
Double-click to call doctor/nurse
If a patient is feeling unwell,
